March 2024: Solar eclipse

Captivating celestial phenomena, solar eclipses occur when the Moon obscures the Sun. The sky briefly darkens, creating a striking spectacle. These rare moments serve as a reminder of the cosmic dance between celestial bodies.

April 2024 : Messier 42, The Great Orion Nebula

Located 1350 light years from us, the Orion nebula is the closest star nursery. With a size of 24 light years, it is visible to the naked eye or binoculars, but it shows us it’s majesty in our 400mm telescope.


May 2024: Black Holes

These mysterious objects that absorb everything in their neighborhood but remain impossible to see, can be found in many areas of the universe. Stelar black holes resultung from the death of certain stars are distributed everywhere. “Super massive” black holes, o]en billions of Umes the mass of our sun, are generally in the center of the galaxies. Come learn more about these space ogres.

June 2024 : Northern Lights

What are these greenish lights that show up in the north sky from Ume to Ume? Where do they come from? What causes them? Can we predict them? Auroras are the result of huge explosions on our Sun that come our way and influence the behaviour of the upper reaches of the atmosphere.


Doors open from 7:45pm to 8pm.
