6 days expedition

Adult (17 years old and +): $2,215.00 per ticket

The Saguenay Fjord is a unique place to explore, located between land and sea. This fjord is home to the Saguenay River, which drains Lac Saint-Jean in the Laurentian Highlands eastward into the Saint Lawrence River. The Saguenay experiences tidal flow moving against its downstream current, a tide which is felt as far upstream as Chicoutimi (about 100km). The tides and river current make for an interesting and variable paddling experience. Marine wildlife are often spotted in the colder waters at the mouth of the fjord, near the town of Tadoussac. Two conservation parks- one continental and the other marine- protect the region.

This trip is run in cooperation with Fjord en Kayak, a local company who has been at the forefront of exploration in the area for 25 years.

The trip is suitable for those with some previous sea kayaking experience. A warm up trip on Georgian Bay is highly recommended prior to this trip.
