National Trail Day 2026

Duration: 8 hours

Massif du Sud Park invites outdoor enthusiasts, families, and groups of friends to volunteer their time for the work day organized as part of National Trails Day, on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Join us for a volunteer day dedicated to cleaning and maintaining hiking trails, mountain bike paths, and the park’s outdoor facilities. It’s a great opportunity to get involved, enjoy the fresh air, and make a real contribution to preserving our natural environment!

To thank you for your commitment, you will receive a seasonal park pass at the end of your volunteer day.

Several teams will be formed based on your preferences:

Flower bed maintenance – Intensity: Low
For those who prefer a calm, accessible activity, maintaining the flower beds is the perfect opportunity to put your gardening skills to use! By removing weeds, planting flowers, and enhancing our outdoor spaces, you’ll leave your floral mark on this beautiful natural setting. No experience required—just bring your good spirits!

Mountain bike trail cleanup – Intensity: Moderate (full)
Ready to roll up your sleeves and lend an active hand? Join the team responsible for clearing and cleaning mountain bike trails. Be prepared to walk, use light tools, and help restore these routes loved by thrill-seekers. A minimum level of fitness is required for this activity, which combines outdoor fun and effort.

Hiking trail cleanup – Intensity: Moderate
If you love walking and scenic views, this team is for you! Help restore our hiking trails after winter. Tasks mainly include picking up fallen branches, clearing debris from the paths, and ensuring signage is visible.

Prospector tent removal – Intensity: Moderate
Lend a hand with dismantling our prospector tent. This team task involves coordination and handling equipment (canvas, structures, furniture). It’s ideal for those who enjoy collaborative manual work and want a behind-the-scenes look at our rustic accommodations.

Cedar mulch installation – Intensity: Moderate
This task involves transporting and spreading cedar mulch around the play modules in our aerial adventure course. This mission is essential for the safety of our young adventurers, as it helps maintain a soft, protective ground throughout the summer season.
