Information

The rustic cabin of the Caribou is in a way the gateway to our magnificent trails. You will be close to the starting point of many of our well appreciated trails, such as the trail of the Mont du Four and the Lac à l'Empêche as well as the trail of the Summits, to name just a few.

During the summer, the parking lot for the Lac-à-l’Écluse is located 200 meters from the cabin. In the winter, it is a 4 km trek on skis or snowshoes from the parking lot of the Zec des Martres to the cabin since the road is closed to vehicles in the winter time.

Please note: You must pass by our reception (135 rang St-François, KM 10.6 on route 381) to pick up the keys.

The Zec charges an access fee per vehicle to use the road leading to the Lac-à-l’Écluse where the Caribou, the Taïga and the J-P Cadot cabins are located.

We encourage you pay the access fee online (at least 2 days in advance) directly on the Zec website.

Exterior fires are strictly prohibited.
