Information

The Bihoreau hike is one of the more beautiful sections of the first part of the Traversée de Charlevoix.  The newly constructed Aoskway cabin is right on this lovely section of the trail.  On top of that, thanks to this new addition to the lodging infrastructure, it is now possible to do the first part of the Traversée de Charlevoix with  exclusive access to the cabins for your small group.  For instance, what would you say renting le Taïga, then le Boudreault and spending the last night of your trek in the Aoskway.

The Aoskway, our 2025 build, is a small log cabin with a capacity of 6 people per night.  The cabin is equipped for cooking with propane and has solar lights.  There is access to water 150m from the cabin.  You can access the Aoskway by foot or in an all terrain vehicle.

Information

Named in honour of a climbing enthusiast gone too soon, this small rustic log cabin is located on the lakeside of the Lac-à-l'Écluse and right in front of the Cadot trail. The departure of the other trails are around 500 meters down the Zec road.

During the summer, the cabin is accessible on the road of the Zec. In the winter, there is around a 3,5 km trek on skis or snowshoes from the parking lot of the Zec since the road is closed to vehicles in the winter time.

Please note: You must pass by our office (135 rang St-François, KM 10.6 on route 381) and not the Zec's to pick up the keys.

The Zec charges an access fee per vehicle to use the road leading to the Lac-à-l’Écluse where the Caribou, Taïga and J-P Cadot cabins are located.

We encourage you to pay the fees online (max 2 days in advance) directly on the Zec website.

Exterior fires are strictly prohibited.

Information

The rustic cabin of the Taïga bears its name well. Not that far off and a little aback from the Caribou and Écureuil cabin, you will be surprised by the carpet of moss and lichen as well as the alpine vegetation that surrounds it. The cabin is located close to the starting point of many well loved hiking trails, such as the Mont du Four and Lac à l'Empêche trails and the Summits trail, just to name a few.

During the summer, the parking lot of the Lac à l'Écluse is 350 meters from the cabin. In the winter, there is about a 4 km trek on skis or snowshoes from the Zec des martres parking lot since the road is not accessible by car in the winter time.

Please note: You must pass by our reception (135 rang St-François, KM 10.6 on route 381) to pick up the keys.

The Zec charges an access fee per vehicle to use the road leading to the Lac-à-l’Écluse where the Caribou, the Taïga and the J-P Cadot cabins are located.

We encourage you pay the access fee online (at least 2 days in advance) directly on the Zec website.

Exterior fires are strictly prohibited.
