Bookings policies

Activities, courses and excursions

• The total cost (100%) must be paid when making an online booking.

Specialized trainings (Paddle Canada, SUP Yoga Teacher Training)

• We require a 50% deposit, the rest of the amount is required 30 days before the beginning of the training.

KSF Day camp

• We require a 50% deposit, the rest of the amount is required 7 days before the beginning of the camp.

School groups and Day camp groups visiting

To reserve a date, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required. Not applicable to schools and school boards.

Corporate groups

• We require a 50% non-refundable deposit to reserve the date of your choice.

Cancellations & Modifications policies

At all times for all bookings

• The cancellation policy applies to changes made regarding the quantity of participants, to late arrivals and non-completed courses.
• No refund will be issued in case of rain.
• In case of a cancellation made by KSF (water quality or storms), you may be reimbursed or move your course to another available date of your choice, without fees.

Weather policy

• Our team is constantly monitoring weather predictions to ensure that activities are conducted in safe conditions. We take into account forecasts from several sources in addition to monitoring radar charts when there is a possibility of showers or thunderstorms.
• We usually make the decision to maintain or cancel a class no later than 3 hours before the start of an activity. However, there may be times when we decide to keep an activity going but need to cancel or stop it at the last minute.
• In case of cancellation by KSF, you can be refunded or move your course to another available date, free of charge.
• In case of a thunderstorm, the activity may be stopped for a few minutes. The activity will then be extended for a few minutes at the end. If the activity is canceled after it has started, an arrangement (free rentals, partial resumption on another date, or refund) will be offered to you, depending on the situation.

• Less than 7 days prior to the activity:
• No changes possible and no refund will be issued, the total cost will be withdrawn or kept by KSF.

• It is possible to reschedule your course to another available date, free of charge.
• In case of a cancellation of the booking, a fee of 20% of the total amount of the training will be applied.
• Less than 30 days before the training:
• No changes and no refunds possible, the total cost of the training will be withdrawn or kept by KSF.

Course Sessions (SUP Yoga, SUP Fitness, SUP Club and Kayak Club)

• More than one week (7 days) before the session starts:
• It is possible to reschedule your session to another available time slot, free of charge.
• If you choose to cancel the booking, a fee of 20% of the total cost will be applied.
• Less than one week (7 days) before the session starts:
• No changes and no refunds possible, the total cost of the training will be withdrawn or kept by KSF.
• Missing individual classes:
• You can not retake a class, unless the cancellation is made by KSF.
• If a class is cancelled by KSF, it will be rescheduled at a later time in the summer, at a pre-established date. If you cannot attend a rescheduled class, a refund will be issued for the amount corresponding to that one individual class within the session (ex: 1/6 of the total cost of the session for a 6 class session).
• It is possible to have someone (friend, family, etc.) attend your class if you can’t make it, as long as this person meets all the prerequisites of the activity. A written notice must be sent to info@ksf.ca at least 24 hours before the start of the activity.

KSF Day camp

• You can cancel a registration to KSF’s day camp as long as you meet certain conditions. You will incur a penalty only if your child has already started attending the camp.
• To cancel your registration, you must submit a written notice to KSF, at groupes@ksf.ca before the camp starts:
• You can cancel your booking before the beginning of the camp. As no service has been provided yet, the cancellation will not trigger any fees or penalties. You will receive a complete refund.
• During the camp:
• You can cancel your booking during the camp. In this case, you will have to pay for the services already received and a cancellation fee equal to the lowest of these two amounts: 50$ or 10% of the cost of the services not yet provided.
• Exemple: your contract is for a 5 day camp at a cost of 59.80 $+tx per day. You cancel after two days. You will have to pay 2 x 59.80$+tx plus a penalty of 17,94$+tx, which is 10% of the cost of the 3 remaining days, for a total of 137.54$+tx.

School groups and Day camp groups visiting

• You have up to 7 days in advance to modify the reservation and confirm the number of participants.
• The balance of payment must be completed, at the latest, the day of the activity and up to 30 days after the activity for schools and school boards.
• Day camp group leaders must pay for the activity if they participate. Not applicable to teachers.
• There is no refund if the number of participants changes the day of the activity. 
• Each participant, including group leaders, must complete a risk acknowledgment form before going on the water. All minors must have a parent or guardian sign under 14 years old.

Corporate groups

• We require a 50% non-refundable deposit to reserve the date of your choice.
• You have up to 7 days in advance to modify the reservation and confirm the number of participants.
• There is no refund if the number of participants changes the day of the activity.
